FECCIWA raises public awareness by creating specific messaging campaign on justice, peace, religious coexistence, tolerance, security, arms trafficking, gender equity, land grabbing, food security, food sovereignty, and human rights issues. These campaigns focus on tangible issues that are most relevant to the lives of the West African community members especially the most vulnerable, and which help women and other community members better understand their rights or an action that they can take to claim their rights. Messaging campaigns are clear and simple catch-words, associated with a campaign logo or a consistent image, sustained over time, and form part of a larger coordinated strategy. Awareness campaigns include events, poster campaigns, websites, Policy Briefs, Factsheets, Press Statements, Case studies, Radio and TV programmes.
